Santa Ana Packaging in La Mirada, CA started as a bakery box supplier in the late 1980's and has since expanded to make all kinds of different boxes throughout the food industry - pizza, concessions, parlors, bakery, doughnut boxes, etc. The founders of Santa Ana is a family who immigrated to the United States from Cambodia. The family first opened a doughnut shop. From there, they were able to expand and start the packaging company. Santa Ana Packaging is a clean energy, eco-friendly company that using 100% recycled materials to make their boxes.

With all the electrical needs required to keep the machines running within the packaging facility, Santa Ana decided it was time to go solar. Prior to solar, Santa Ana's electric bill was about $10,000 a month.

To become even more eco-friendly, in addition to using 100% recycled materials, Santa Ana also wanted to make sure the machinery within the facility was running on solar.

Sunworks installed a 287 kW roof mount solar panel system onto the packaging facility. Post solar installation, Santa Ana's electric bill is $4,000 - a 60% savings per month.
“I highly recommend Sunworks because they were easy to work with. Contracts were easy to go over. Everything was nicely done. I can't wait to work with them in the future. - Peter Yen”
